How deeply have you explored yourself?

So, about that Greatest Weakness?
Most people answer the weakness question at the level of socially acceptable flaws: “I’m a perfectionist,” “I care too much,” “I work too hard,” “I can be impatient,” “I’m too hard on myself.”
These answers aren’t really hitting the sweet-spot to our deeper self-awareness.
And knowing ourselves isn’t only knowing the characteristics we like about ourselves.
It’s about becoming aware of these kinds of things: what triggers you, where you become defensive, what you don’t want others to see, where you seek control, what makes you jealous, where you compare yourself, what you judge in others, where you manipulate, where you avoid responsibility, what you secretly want, what you fear losing, where you crave validation, what you do when you feel threatened, what you become when your identity is challenged.
And this is where the “dark side” comes in.
It is essentially those parts of you that are part of the “persona” we individually create as a “solution” to something we perceive “as an issue” for ourselves, or a “compensation” for a polarization in perception or feelings.
The issue isn’t that we have anger, jealousy, ambition, greed, insecurity, fear, resentment, pride, control, sexuality, aggression, or the desire for recognition.
It’s more about… Do we know what happens INSIDE of us when those forces become ACTIVATED?
What if your greatest weakness is actually one of the places where your unconscious architecture is most visible?
For example:
Jealousy might reveal an unacknowledged desire.
Anger might reveal a violated boundary.
Control might reveal fear.
Arrogance might conceal insecurity.
People-pleasing might reveal an identity built around approval.
Resentment might reveal an unspoken expectation.
Avoidance might reveal something we don’t yet feel capable of confronting.
Greed might reveal a deeply embedded experience of scarcity.
Perfectionism might reveal the belief that being imperfect makes us less worthy.
Our Greatest Weakness, our Shadow-Side, however you want to look at these part of ourselves, they are part of a MAP. A map of the unconscious parts of our reality-creation software (or programming).
The things that constantly “trigger” us, or as I like to better put it, ACTIVATE us, usually come from some underlying polarized perceptions that we haven’t yet balanced or in other words integrated into our next evolution of our consciousness. (I have strongly added the context of perceptions to my vocabulary after heavily studying how 7 Universal Laws apply to perceptions to change the external reality from within… you’ll see me infuse this language into Quantum Leaps of Consciousness going forward… more and more).
It may be because we were criticized at one time, or rejected, or abandoned, or have some authority issues with the masculine, or an unbalanced feminine, or somehow resent someone, or maybe we even admired that other person.
When I get into these kinds of situations now, I like to ponder on two questions (to tune into the frequency of the answers, so-to-speak), AND to drop into my heart when I do so, and listen to the real truth of the answers through my body.
I know it’s simple… but it can also be scary, so most of us discount looking at these questions, I have learned to love them (like a competitive advantage).
So… ask…
- Why did that affect me so much?
- What did that moment reveal about me?
Your greatest weakness may tell you less about what is wrong with you AND it tells you a great deal about how well you know yourself.
This is what I discovered recently as I examined my greatest weakness.
I realized I was starting to really know myself deeply.
I don’t think you’ve explored yourself deep enough until you hit your greatest weakness, that quality about you and how you behave, that fractal pattern in your life with which you drive every aspect of it. Because it’s that BIG one that keeps you locked into a level you can’t see past, because you’re “encaged” into that pattern so boldly and fiercely, you don’t let anything else outside of that in.
That’s when you really know yourself.
That’s when you can move to the next level.
That’s when you can start taking a different action.
That’s when you can start to admit to yourself why certain things are they way they are and that you are in fact the cause of that effect.
So I leave you with the possibility of challenging yourself to ponder on this question, and see how deep you can know yourself….
“What is my greatest weakness?”
See what comes up FOR YOU!
And, and remember, You’re a Star!
