The Three Beliefs of the EGO

Written by:

Ego is not an “entity” but rather it is a “belief system”.

“The Ego is not an entity that exists independent or has any objective reality. It is a belief system. This belief system causes certain activities or functions to happen within the mind.”

I stumbled on this framework from Aaron Abke. I deeply resonated with it.

Aaron Abke is a spiritual advocate for higher consciousness ascension, which is something I also believe in. He focuses on teaching about The Law of One, A Course in Miracles, and expanding Spiritual intelligence.

The one teaching that I have resonated the most with, has been this framework of the Ego Belief System. As far as I know, when I stumbled on him in mid-2025, there was no one else teaching this, and I feel he’s unique in his development of this.

Anyway… now that I have made mention of this… let me move on.

Belief Systems

I briefly want to touch on belief systems.

Beliefs are thoughts we think over and over and over. Every single thought carries a “frequency” or information. Every thought also gets carried on a “vibration” a sound wave. This essentially becomes a “thought-emotion” loop, and if done repeatedly enough times, with enough rehearsal and emotional intensity, these beliefs (and emotional outcomes) become programs, and get activated automatically, unconsciously often times, without our awareness, because we have allowed them to become second-nature to us.

Now how do thinking-emotional loops work?

What you think creates a certain feeling within your body, an emotional response?

Well, that emotional response then creates a feedback loop to crave more of the same thoughts as the body gets conditioned to that kind of response. And the more this gets cycled, the more the body becomes the mind-of-the-body; the master rather than the servant….

Separation & Perception

Now, most of us have grown up in “material culture” as I like to call it because we are overfocused on our external “material” reality. And in this construct, the concept of “separation” is pervasive.

The principle of separation is the core construct (or paradigm of reality) of the Ego.

The core root cause of the effects of the Ego stems back to separation. If you work on eradicating the sense of separation in this reality construct, the Ego dissolves, slowly but surely.

The Ego creates ALL of “our stories” from the clay of the fundamental principle of separation.

Dissolving the Ego is about identifying which sub-belief of the Ego is at work and correcting it with the truth of your self-perception.

The 3 Beliefs of the Ego:

#1 Lack

The first belief that arises out of separation is Lack, for example: “I am incomplete.” Or in other words, something is missing.

“Something is inherently missing that needs to be completed… a constant need to fulfill lack…” is the basis for this belief.

The emotional response that gets created from the beliefs of Lack can be any feeling of Sadness: depression, self-loathing, grief, loneliness, hopelessness, bitterness, disappointment, or rejection, etc.

“If any variation of sadness is experienced, then for sure the belief in LACK is at play in the mind.”

#2 Attachment

The second belief, that then arises, is Attachment, for example:“My happiness depends on external fulfillment.”

Logically, if we feel we are in lack, we are prompted to fulfill that lack. Our society and culture have taught us, with some standards and exceptions, that this happens through external validations.

The emotions that arise from the belief of attachment are those related to Anger: hatred, envy, resentment, frustration, irritation.”

“If any variation of anger is experienced then for sure the belief in ATTACHMENT is at play in the mind.”

#3 Control

The third belief that arises is Control, for example:“I am in Control.”

We are separate, living in lack, trying to fulfill ourselves, and doing so by trying to control and bend life to our will in order to reach outcomes that will validate us (our need to fulfill ourselves manifested in this form).

Emotional connection to control involves FEAR: stress, worry, anxiety, panic, paranoia, etc.

“If any variation of fear is experienced then for sure the belief in CONTROL is at play in the mind.”

The Ego Belief System, in summary…

The Ego Belief System is rooted in the principle of Separation.

If I belief I am a separate self, then there is LACK.

If there is lack, there is ATTACHMENT.

If there is attachment, then there is CONTROL.

Isn’t this a more clear way to view the “Ego”?

Isn’t it refreshing to see that it’s all within our capacity to reconstruct the Ego?

Rather than let the “Ego” roam with a set of beliefs that hinders our lives, wouldn’t it be much better to retrain our lower energetic belief-emotional loops to help us, to be the true guidance system it was meant to be, not the automatic pilot running the show called “our lives”.

When I was doing Dr. Joe Dispenza’s work with bringing the lower three energy centers back to balance, I had quite the challenge trying to understand how the three centers function in thinking-emotional programming and understanding Aaron’s message about the Ego gave me the pathway to understanding these connections I could not find anywhere else as clearly as he lays them out.

His book on The Three Beliefs of Ego is now out, and available also on Audible.

I recommend you read it and please come by and let me know if you have!! Would love to get your thoughts on how you liked it.
